Songs principally written by Nick Jonas.
Enhanced compact disc.
Lyrics ([16] p. : ill.) inserted in container.
Rose garden -- Who I am -- Olive & an arrow -- Conspiracy theory -- In the end -- Last time around -- Tonight -- State of emergency -- Vesper's goodbye -- Stronger (Back on the ground).
Nick Jonas & the Administration (Nick Jonas, vocal guitars ; Tommy Barbarella, keyboards ; Michael Bland, drums ; John Fields, bass ; Sonny Thompson, guitar).
Fueling the album's 10 songs was Nick's long-held fascination with politics, especially politics at the top. Throughout, Nick places allusions to the trappings of the presidency, from the White House Rose Garden to the symbolic olive branch and arrows clutched in the talons of the American eagle. But this is not a political album; rather, through the idiom of rock and soul music, it's a survey of the ungovernable human heart.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Eh submitted by Meginator on July 10, 2011, 9:13pm You know, I want to give Nick Jonas the benefit of the doubt here. Even though he and his brothers are undoubtedly just cogs in the massive Disney machine, I do enjoy some of their music (horrors!) and I think they are genuinely talented, if over-hyped. I was, however, quite disappointed with this album, which is bland and devoid of any particularly distinguishing characteristics. Some of the livelier songs stick out a bit, but only from the rest of the album's mediocre offerings; none have stuck with me and I just finished the album a few minutes ago. And as for the slow songs, well...they're not his best. While Nick Jonas is undoubtedly taking a departure from the work he does with the Jonas Brothers, for me it's in an unimpressive direction. The album isn't terrible, but it doesn't strike me as particularly noteworthy, either. Just another CD to add to the pile of forgettable, cookie-cutter pop-rock.
