I didn't know this existed submitted by adj737 on July 10, 2018, 7:32am but I'm glad I found out. Fun and a little weird, story seemed a little rushed at parts, but overall nice for a relaxing movie night

Powerful Metaphors...and Kaiju Battles submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2018, 10:42pm Content warning: emotional and physical partner abuse, alcoholism

This powerful film manages to convincingly portray a raw emotional journey while incorporating impressive kaiju action sequences, giving it a unique flavor and proving that heavy-handed metaphors needn't preclude a work of art from carrying deep meaning. Anne Hathaway is excellent as the main character, portraying Gloria with incredible nuance and carrying the film in its more strained moments. This is a film about coming into oneself, but it tackles familiar themes from a fresh point of view that is, at times, breathtaking, even if its darker moments are quite dark indeed.

Unexpected submitted by majean on August 5, 2018, 2:34pm This is not a cute romantic comedy. But watch it anyway.

What were they thinking? submitted by mandevil on April 2, 2019, 12:24am Who gave the go-ahead? A mashed up mess. If you’re like me you might be wondering how this got made. Is it story about a failed romance, a woman who lost her job, a friendship gone wrong from childhood? Don’t worry this movie requires you to be delusional

Colossal submitted by lstorc on June 28, 2019, 3:14pm Wildly imaginative and more depressing than was implied in the previews. It's more of a movie for adults given the sensitive content and raw emotions.

Colossal dvd submitted by a2sue on July 20, 2019, 10:20am The dvd of Colossal was disappointing. It wasn't what I was expecting, and that isn't a good thing.

I didn't know exactly what the movie-makers meant me to have taken out of the movie. submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on August 24, 2020, 1:17pm Anne Hathaway plays a young woman living in New York who is starting to fall apart ... she is drifting towards becoming alcoholic and her boyfriend dumps her. she goes back to her small Midwestern hometown and hooks up with old friends. In the meantime on the other side of the world in Seoul in South Korea a huge Godzilla-style monster is terrorizing the capital. Well, somehow feels totally disconnected. I loved Anne Hathaway this new movie. Jason Sudeikis's character is quite opaque and off-putting.
