It's Magic submitted by Meginator on June 17, 2018, 8:18am This film was surprising and original; I haven’t seen anything quite like it. The basis of the film is a close character study of Bo, a street magician who has had to make some tough decisions following his mother’s death, but it also uses elements borrowed from science fiction and action films. The result is a story that feels remarkably honest and true to life, anchored by excellent performances across the board. Be warned, however, that the film does include some moments of intense violence (usually implied rather than witnessed directly). Sleight is a very taut production, a unique film that stands as proof that good filmmakers don’t always need a huge budget to make an excellent film.
