It follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove, and the world, is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Not your childhood Power Rangers, sadly submitted by mrajraspn08 on July 10, 2017, 3:23pm If you're looking for a nostalgic reminder of your favorite nineties kid's show, look elsewhere. I've listened to several reviews of this movie from various Power Rangers podcasts, and I have to concur with all of them. The tone is completely different, and only a small portion at the end is focused on actual Power Rangers fighting. The redesigns are creepy and/or downright ugly. It is definitely more serious, and loses a lot for that. That being said, the updated characters weren't terribly chosen, even if they weren't done well. My favorite part of the movie is Billy, updated to be on the autism spectrum; as someone who is autistic, I was pleasantly surprised to see one of the best portrayals of the disorder in this otherwise lackluster movie. Overall, I can't recommend it, but if you do see it, it's not a complete waste of time. It's an interesting idea poorly done. I've heard it as deserving a C-, and I think that's the best grade I can give it, too.

I think it was a good movie in its own right. I think it was gagued for a Teen/young adult audience.overall, I thought it was alrigh though.
