COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Evocative Blues submitted by Meginator on August 31, 2019, 7:03pm This album exemplifies the blues. Played and sung with pure passion, these tales of love and all its woes pack tons of emotion into every note in both the vocals and the guitar. For a blues album, most of these tracks are relatively uptempo and lively, their notes of despair coming more from the vocal delivery than from the music itself; still, there’s no mistaking this for any other genre. It’s easy to tell why James is referred to as the King of the Slide Guitar; these recordings are amazing and evocative.
