Rogue One submitted by SBNB on June 18, 2017, 9:24pm This Star Wars movie was ok. I wish there had been more substance to it, but it was good enough I suppose. That said, I played Candy Crush through most of it, especially the end.

Epic submitted by leea on June 25, 2017, 12:27pm Another great Star War fan movie with new fresh characters and actors.

Good movie submitted by tcrbondy on June 23, 2018, 8:08pm One of my favorite star wars movies. Really fun in how it ties in, but really good on its own. Great new characters and a well done plot

Okay submitted by zmclaugh on August 1, 2018, 5:08pm Not a great movie. Some issues with plotting and characters.

Good Plot, Just a Little Slow at Times. submitted by bookworms on August 10, 2018, 10:44pm I liked this movie! It had a good plot, but at times it seemed kind of slow. The best part of the movie was that it wasn't sappy. It had brave rebels that fought through hard situations, and in the end made noble sacrifices for the good of the galaxy! It didn't just follow some cheesy people "chosen" by the force like in the Force Awakens.

A nice change from newer Star Wars films.

Strong submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 2:38pm The story was strong, the characters solid, and a wonderful way to introduce people into the Star Wars world.

Great movie! submitted by Xris on August 29, 2018, 10:12pm So sad in the end, but liked watching it. I love how they fill in what happened right before Episode IV.

Entertaining submitted by jduffy12 on August 31, 2018, 10:55pm What is not to love about Star Wars?

The Ending submitted by alexmichaelp on August 27, 2019, 10:07pm Makes everything so worth it!

Better than Solo and Rise submitted by Will O on August 29, 2020, 3:03pm Rogue One is always a mixed bag for me. The first hour is a little choppy and jumps from planet to planet before you can get your bearings. Once it settles and the second hour starts it gets much better both in terms of pacing but also with the characters. I wish they had slowed it down at the beginning to really let the audience get to know at least Jyn and Cassian.
The cast is good. Felicity Jones brings a fierceness and hard exterior to Jyn Erso, someone who has lost so much.
Diego Luna is very good as a morally ambiguous rebel intelligence operative Cassian Andor. Alan Tudyk as K-2SO is maybe the only intentionally funny Star Wars character that is actually funny.
Donnie Yen is my favorite of the side cast and is excellent as Chirrut Imwe, a guardian of the whils and sort of quasi Jedi who believes in the force. Just as good is Jiang Wen as Baze Malbus (winner of coolest name) a disillusioned fellow guardian. Their relationship is so deep and feels the most fleshed out even though they have almost no backstory or exposition, they're just that good and I was genuinely sad when they die.
Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera shows the dangers of taking the rebellion to an extremist position and is someone who had clearly had a mental break and doesn't trust anyone around him. It's played really well and is kind of sad. Riz Ahmed was the weakest of the crew for me, his imperial defector pilot character was kind of thin and I don't like how he was supposed to be driven crazy by Saw's interrogation and is for like one scene but then they get of Jehda and he's totally fine.
Mads Mikkelsen is his usual complicated doesn't reveal much self and very good as Galen.
Ben Mendelsohn is fine, he's kind of just the villain who's there.
The whole Tarkin CGI monstrosity was bad. They needed to either have him be a hologram or just not in the movie. It was creepy and uncanny and took me out of the movie everytime I saw his dead eyes. It's not ever going to look real, please stop.
The music was pretty good, not John Williams good, but decent.
The final suicide mission is really good and the way everyone comes together knowing this is it is actually touching and done well. Just needed better development at the beginning to truly be a great film.

A New Kind of Story for Star Wars submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 9:17pm This film offers a refreshing opportunity to break away from the Skywalker Saga and explore some of the lesser-known corners of the Star Wars universe (er...galaxy?), and it strikes the perfect balance of fealty to the original films and innovative storytelling that pushes beyond the franchise’s familiar tropes. Though the storyline is intimately tied to the very first Star Wars film, the focus on an entirely new group of diverse protagonists allows the writers to expand Star Wars storytelling beyond the Skywalker family, injecting new life into a familiar milieu and deepening our understanding of that galaxy far, far away. Aside from its connections to such an important fictional world, the film stands up on its own merits, effectively blending elements of heist movies, political thrillers, and action flicks while retaining an emotional core that makes the ending pack quite the punch. The blu-ray release also includes some interesting documentary material on the bonus disc with some great behind the scenes footage and interviews that make the production feel all the more impressive. This film works best for viewers already familiar with A New Hope, and it signals exciting new directions for the Star Wars franchise; the galaxy is clearly in good hands.

Star Wars : Rogue One, a Star Wars Story submitted by yufamily on August 12, 2022, 6:33pm Loved Felicity Jones' performance.

Good one submitted by Abbie D. on August 21, 2022, 4:38pm I liked this one!!!!

Star Wars : Rogue One submitted by frdozzi on June 12, 2023, 9:34pm The best Star Wars movie outside of the original trilogy. While it's not really fair to compare the modern films to the originals for most measurements, what they can be compared on is story. And while Rogue One can be a little slow at times for a sci-fi movie, it does a great job in filling in some details (and fixing a 2-meter wide plot hole) for A New Hope.

Plus, it portrays Darth Vader as a legitimately vicious and powerful villain. Which he needed after the prequels.
