Clear it was a play - amazing performances submitted by pk on August 6, 2017, 2:40pm It was very clear that this came from a play - very few characters and sets. And it is very much a "talking" movie. People talk a lot - speeches, conversation. The acting was suberb by all actors in it. Denzel Washington played a character so flawed, but that you still had hope for. Mykelti Williamson was outstanding, too. But Viola Davis was the most amazing in her role. A long movie, slow at times, but amazing performances.
