A Fun and Nostalgic Romp submitted by svanloo on June 16, 2023, 1:04am The entire time we watched this movie, our family kept asking each other, "How would you describe this to someone who had never seen it?" That's a difficult question to answer, since saying, "It's a disco roller skating movie about a singing muse" just doesn't quite cover it. Xanadu gives a glimpse at some of the coolest 80s costumes and catchiest 80s music. It actually holds up pretty well, even though it's been decades since its release. And one delightful surprise was the appearance of Gene Kelly in the last movie role of his life. He sang, danced, and even performed on roller skates. Overall, Xanadu is a fun way to spend a couple hours.
