In this modern day spin on 'Pride & Prejudice,' Elizabeth Scott, is fishing for direction in her life and gets the opportunity to professionally shoe her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in a fancy New York dog show. Dog show judge Donovan Darcy comes across as aristocratic and rude and a chain of misunderstandings unfold during the competition, complicating their mutual attraction.

Disappointed submitted by Nancianna Girbach on May 23, 2017, 7:47am Had high hopes as I am a "Pride and Prejudice" fan. Have not come across two such unlikable characters as Elizabeth Scott and Donovan Darcy in a long time. Maybe it was the Director's fault and the actors were just following his/her direction. But whatever happened, the story's premise held great possibilities but was sabotaged by the stiff, robotic, frivolous and uninspired acting. The book was much better. I think that I will go now and watch the Colin Firth and/or the Keira Knightly P&P version to erase this latest spin off from my mind.
