Better than expected submitted by Amber Kinder on July 30, 2017, 7:47am I read this book quite a while ago and absolutely loved it. Usually when that happens the movie pales in comparison but not this time. It was a pretty good adaptation and kept my interest during the whole thing.

Decent Adaptation submitted by Meginator on August 29, 2017, 8:24pm I found "Before I Fall" to be a surprisingly good book with a lot of depth, despite the basic predictability of the basic story arcs, and the film adaptation is a similar surprise. The performances are pretty good, and though it lacks some of the book's depth (largely, I believe, due to the fact that Sam's narration and personal reflections really drive the story in the novel) it still delivers a strong and convincing message. This film may not have a lot of nuance but it's a decent adaptation of an interesting book.
