Absolutely Worth a Watch submitted by ajstemp on June 28, 2018, 10:40am Whether or not you enjoy the space program (or know anything about Apollo 13), this is worth a watch! It's suspenseful, compelling, and full of great history, even if you already know how the story ends. The cast and crew did a great job recreating one of the most tense moments in space history.

Well worth a watch submitted by caburr47 on July 3, 2020, 8:42am This film is a unique experience of being true, well acted, where the characters go through an ordeal and really don't reach their destination but still ultimately win - through sheer effort of their intelligence and the intelligence of their team.

An All-Time Classic submitted by Meginator on June 11, 2021, 5:59pm This has been one of my favorite films since I first saw it as a kid, and it holds up incredibly well. Ron Howard’s attention to detail and the cast’s complete commitment to their roles bring the Apollo 13 crisis to vivid and convincing life, with the effects holding up incredibly well despite the film being over 25 years old. The script pays close attention to the whole spectrum of people involved in the mission, from the astronauts themselves to their families and, of course, the support team at Mission Control who had to work the problem as the crew faced near-certain death. This film is a must-watch for anyone interested in the history of manned spaceflight and also anyone who appreciates a good character-centered drama that celebrates the spirit of cooperation without becoming cheesy or overly moralizing.
