COMMUNITY REVIEWS

The River submitted by glennauerbach on June 26, 2011, 7:23am The river is an awesome cd.

The River submitted by BLennon on August 3, 2012, 7:29pm The River is one of my favorite songs. The cover by Josh Ritter is also fantastic!

The River submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 28, 2014, 2:49am This album brims with story-songs of pathos, nostalgia, and bittersweet romance. "The River" is one of those great songs that you find yourself cheerfully singing and then realize how depressing some of the lyrics really are. The Boss will get you like that. Even the high-energy "Hungry Heart" is about restlessness and the struggle to fill percieved holes in our lives, the trap of endless desire - but it's also pretty fun, and can be listened to with a lighter heart just fine.

A New Step submitted by kencza on August 7, 2017, 12:22pm A bit of a new direction at the time but the same great delivery as previous releases.
So many Bruce concert classics here and a bit more sophisticated than some of the
early seminal albums
