Passengers: Third Class submitted by MH17 on June 17, 2017, 12:35pm O, Passengers! Had you been more sci-fi- than romantic comedy, you might have had me at hello. After all, what's better than being stranded alone on the interstellar cruise ship of the future with a deeply troubling philosophical question, a chatty robot bartender and the fakest beard in movie history? I could have watched that for at least 86 minutes. But, alas. Act II gets cute, Act III gets ridiculous, and by the end, you will probably find yourself wishing you had watched Moon (2008, with Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey and some other people) instead, or maybe just wandered outside and stared at the moon, if it's a clear night, rather than being stuck with these passengers, whose chemistry rates somewhere between a limp handshake and two Roombas making out. Two stars for the first third of the movie and a cool swimming pool scene; minus a hundred stars for underutilizing Laurence Fishburne.

Fantasy smarm submitted by kencza on June 20, 2017, 8:39am It had a some moments but too far and few between. All pretty predictable,
Fishbone was underused. Some good special effects but nothing to blow the top off.
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt were underwhelming but there is plenty of
mediocrity to go around. It's kind of sad when the android bartender is the most interesting
character most of the time.

Passengers submitted by leenajong on July 6, 2017, 9:41am So predictable...

Passengers submitted by cinderellariley on August 7, 2017, 7:34am Very predictable. But a cute sci fi romantic comedy.

eh submitted by kbahleda on July 3, 2018, 6:55pm I found this movie to be slow with only a few moments of action

Loved the bartender submitted by mandevil on January 20, 2022, 10:12pm Forgettable
