His declining health is causing headaches and hallucinations that lead to a near-fatal accident, rendering him unconscious. After recuperating, an unexpected discovery leads him to doubt his sanity, his identity, and the integrity of the company. Believing he is alone on his mission, his sole purpose is getting back home on his own.

a nice surprise submitted by RJD on June 1, 2010, 11:52pm The DVD cover claimed the movie to rank with "2001, A Space Odyssey", I would agree with that.

Resets the sci fi genre submitted by Michael Flynn on November 8, 2010, 12:10pm I recommend this movie. An original story with characters motivated without gun play make this a breath of fresh air. I thought I could see through some characters' hidden agendas, but as the story progressed I was thoroughly surprised. One of my favorite sci-fi details is a distant glimpse of the back side of the moon- scarred from mining operations.
This film did not waste time trying to demonstrate how isolating and boring it would be to work alone on the back side of the moon. ...... Why don't I recall seeing this offered at the theaters?

Moons Over My Hammy submitted by jaegerla on January 17, 2011, 4:01pm This was a great surprise. I had not heard much about Moon except that David Bowie's son directed it. The plot went places I didn't expect it to go. If you enjoy a good twist-ending this movie will do the trick.

Subtle and Exciting submitted by rwright on June 28, 2012, 10:13am This is an intelligent, absorbing movie not afraid to focus on the struggles and desires of a single representative character. The movie is well-filmed and the plot twists feel organic to the frightening situation at hand. Thematic isolation comes through well and the acting is top notch. Classic character-based SF revamped and made modern! Loved this movie and can't wait for Duncan Jones to direct more smart science fiction.

moon submitted by a2sue on August 4, 2013, 7:25am i'm not usually a huge fan of sci fi, but moon was pretty good

Brilliant submitted by beeniepie on August 11, 2013, 12:11pm This movie is absolutely brilliant. With such a low budget, I didn't expect much. Sam Rockwell's understated performance was beautiful. Kevin Spacey's presence was surprisingly effective. See this film.

A warning to us all!!! submitted by leenajong on August 18, 2015, 10:08pm An impossible scenario, since human cloning is 'banned' but I can see that monetary profits by mega-corporations can justify anything on this earth.

Cool Indie Sci-Fi Flick submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2017, 2:13pm Moon is a wonderful film that demonstrates how good science fiction can come out of a relatively straightforward idea, even without big-budget effects and/or a cast of thousands. I didn't know much about this film before seeing it other than having a general notion that it was about loneliness and a man living on the Moon, and I think that is the best way to go into it. The plot takes a while to get going but it's utterly absorbing, offering a series of small revelations that add up to a complex character study and raise a lot of very large questions about science and morality. This film is incredibly well made and a pleasant surprise.

Surprisingly Good submitted by sushai on July 25, 2020, 10:21pm I really liked this movie. Don't go in knowing too much about it--it's better to let it unfold. Superbly acted and a bit of a brain workout.

Interested submitted by Clown81 on July 9, 2023, 9:15pm I'm interested in seeing what this movie is about. I have to check it out and watch it.
