Elaine, a beautiful young witch, is determined to find a man to love her. In her gothic Victorian apartment she makes spells and potions, and then picks up men and seduces them. However her spells work too well, and she ends up with a string of hapless victims. When she finally meets the man of her dreams, her desperation to be loved will drive her to the brink of insanity and murder.

pleasantly weird submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 19, 2020, 10:52pm I like the atmosphere and overdramatic flair of this movie, but it's definitely a bit weird. I'm not sure I would watch it again, but I did enjoy it.

my new favorite film submitted by LilyYork on July 12, 2021, 4:03pm first off this movie is truly beautiful, even if you don't love this film like i do you could definitely enjoy it for its amazing visual quality. i would recommend it to any wes anderson or tarantino fans in a heartbeat because odds are you would appreciate the sort of quirky sense of humor and style this film has. its sort of a horror-comedy with an interesting commentary about femininity and romantic relationships. the director is a genius who did the writing, set dressing, costumes, music, you name it all herself which really leads to a fully realized artistic vision.
