This is one you SHOULD watch, and you'll be glad you did submitted by hathaway1066 on August 3, 2013, 9:38pm Interesting characters that don't fall into the standard, predictable, 2-dimensional ruts of most movies. GREAT performances by all the actors involved (and there are lot of talented people involved), and also, a nice job conveying small town midwest life and issues.

Johnny Depp is wonderful in it of course, but Leonardo DeCaprio is the one who steals the show in terms of acting. This very young DeCaprio does a great job of portraying the mentally impaired son.

Also, I think this should be considered a prequel to Benny & Joon.
Also, also, John C. Reilly is ageless. And by that I mean he's always looked like a 50 year old man even in his 20's.
