A historical thriller set during the Revolutionary War. Abe Woodhull is a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island who bands together with his friends to from the Culper Ring, an unlikely team of secret agents who not only went on to help George Washington turn the tide of the war, but also gave birth to modern spycraft.

Great way to learn about history submitted by wendylv on August 10, 2015, 1:20pm The series is an adaptation of "Washington's Spies" by Alexander Rose which tells the little-known story of the Culper Ring, four childhood friends (including a woman!) who became secret agents for the American Revolution. Although the true story is packed with drama, the adaptation appears to be guilty of tweaking the facts a bit (love triangle, anyone?) to heighten the entertainment value. Still, the storyline, acting, and production are excellent and you will be eagerly awaiting the next episode.
