Not Losing its Edge submitted by Caser on April 7, 2011, 2:54pm To quote James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, I think this album "woke up naked on the beach in Ibiza" in 1989. This entire dance album hangs on the brink of crashing down in a flame of epic partying from the very first song.

The energy is nothing short of frenetic, the vocals are sing along in your car worthy, and the tones are instant nostalgia. As each song opens, you can picture the exact circumstances in your life where this song could play perfect soundtrack.

Maybe it's those big reverbed out, '80s snare hits. Or perhaps the Cure-worthy palm mute riffs. I don't care what it is, it gets me every single time. Oh, and it's only nine tracks so there's no room for filler. The library's copy gives you the remix bonus tracks, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.
