Classic Rock Classics submitted by Meginator on June 19, 2019, 7:15pm Though I figured going in that I would know a few of these songs, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of familiar tunes here. The orchestrations are surprisingly complex for a rock band, creating a full sound in the choruses that leaves plenty of room for massive prog-adjacent instrumental sections. This is one of those albums that richly rewards repeat listening; it’s complex and rich, with plenty to discover, yet accessible for the average classic rock fan. The band’s catalogue goes way beyond “Carry On My Wayward Son” and this album is well worth a spin or ten.
