as good as it gets... submitted by lekendrick on July 23, 2011, 12:40pm I've really very little idea other than 'multiple movies really have to be made?' why this one really wasn't better, received my knee jerk reaction is to laud it, had been stated of "last action hero" by roger ebert "in the future hollywood will make one movie a year" a old C. Blount DeMille prediction, and that film could've very well been it if such aye system was imposed! I'll say same of "funny people" it's oscar worthy not really paint by numbers an interesting play & enough original content production satisfy...

First Half Alright submitted by ima_rom on July 15, 2012, 5:01am The first half has funny moments but then it gets boring.

doesn't match submitted by ftan on July 16, 2012, 3:54pm this movie doesn't match the title. although it is supposed to be about comedians, it isn't funny. i only watched half of it before walking away dissapointed. i'm not sure how a film can be funny when the main character has cancer.

Not Funny submitted by kathleen824 on August 14, 2012, 1:09pm This movie was more of a drama than a comedy. Maybe if it had been billed/marketed differently my expectations would not have been contradictive to the actual plot of the movie.

Depressing submitted by crazypockets on July 23, 2013, 11:59am I agree with other reviewers that this really isn't a comedy. I thought it was actually really sad. The cast was really good at their roles in a dramatic way, but I think it was the billing as a comedy that kind of messed with my head on it. I expected the usual great comedy from the likes of Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, and Jason Schwartzman, but even the comedy that was in it wasn't really funny.

????????? submitted by hollieesper121573 on July 19, 2017, 6:54pm I guess between the cast and title I expected a comedy but was really not funny and I dont think Adam Sandler does not funny well. It was disappointing
