Still Alice submitted by SBNB on June 19, 2016, 6:16pm It's a good movie. It was sad watching her deteriorate, but it was a good story overall.
Need tissues submitted by DL on June 21, 2016, 5:55am Julianne Moore does a great job playing Alice. A touching movie about Alzheimer's disease and how it effects the person and the family.
Still on my mind submitted by DBJC on June 17, 2017, 1:55pm Like you've previously read, this film is about an esteemed linguistics professor who starts to forget her life. Julianne Moore is the lead as Alice, a woman who is struggling to keep her mind but is realizing that she is failing to do so. This film was definitely a tearjerker, but Moore deserves the praise as her acting skills were on-point. Even if you're not able to relate to Alzheimer's, the effects of having one's intelligence, their memory, and life stripped away from them because of uncontrollable circumstances is a difficult, human experience. This movie is one that was still on my mind days after I had watched it, its emotional toll still draining my subconscious. Highly recommend!
