Short tempered Bogie submitted by kencza on August 11, 2020, 9:49pm Good performance from Bogart and Gloria Grahame in this drama in the film noir style of moviemaking. Dixon (Bogie)is a tough guy and suspect in a murder, Grahame is his alibi and soon his girl She gradually sees his inability to control his temper as he roughs up anyone that crosses him. This leads to an exciting ending albeit a bit of a surprise. Generally recognized as one of the better noir films.

Not that good, even tho Bogart tries. At the end I was doing emails on the laptop while the stupid movie was ending on my 55" TV submitted by Tassos on May 8, 2021, 12:21pm Poor. The god-awful, very loud at times, musical score did not help either. Oh, and this role was not just a 'short tempered'' clown, but a serially, physically abusive jerk. Many people are short tempered but not violent.

So I went back and watched just the last scene, 28/28. THat was sufficient. Most of the rest of the movie was stupid 'filling'.
