Seamless Cinematography submitted by Spectacular Reference-Man on June 12, 2015, 11:32am This is a great movie, and one of the best parts is the cinematography. The entire movie flows as one camera follows the actors from location to location with no cuts. It's seamless and fun. This alone is reason enough to watch, but all the actors are on top form as we watch this story of an aging, ex-Hollywood star try to make it big on Broadway.

Good if you like Broadway submitted by samanthar on June 22, 2015, 11:21pm I don't understand the hype over this movie. It is marginal at best. If you have a special fondness for the theater and Broadway, then it would be a much more interesting movie. For me, it was incredibly boring, and not even a good character study.

The acting is great, the soundtrack is great. It is made to appear as one long shot, and that's great. Everything else (the story, the point of the movie) fell short for me.

Ok submitted by leenajong on July 7, 2015, 6:38pm Maybe difficult to understand for some people, story line is kind of confusing.

Hyper-realism submitted by kwarren on July 8, 2015, 12:45pm Very interesting take on a drama. Full of unexpected twists and turns. Do not watch if you like neat and tidy plots and explanations. A

What? Huh? Ok. submitted by gcn9 on August 23, 2015, 11:51am Acting and cinematography are the ONLY reasons to see this movie. Keaton is excellent. And I don't use that word often with acting other than Meryl Streep. The story is really about madness and ego. Nearly everyone in the movie is a psychological mess other than Keaton's ex-wife. It's uncomfortable at times. Makes no sense at other times as it drifts off into flights of fantasy and delusion. The ending is a judgement call on the part of the viewer as to what truly happened as even the director admits that he wanted it vague. Be prepared to be frustrated and cringe at times and probably not fulfilled with the ending BUT Keaton proves his acting ability is right there with the best of the best.

Waste of Time submitted by berry.laura on August 23, 2015, 12:41pm A couple minutes into this and we were wondering if we should cut our losses. Ed Norton then arrived on screen, and since he is a favorite, I stuck with it and watched until the end, hoping the point would become clear. Also gratuitously profane. Great actors, but totally pointless and a major disappointment.

Okay submitted by wgregory on July 3, 2016, 11:32am However, black comedies are not my favorite.

No submitted by yenkong on July 3, 2017, 11:11am Simply not entertaining. Very confusion and boring.
