This season I didn't like as much and I felt like it was a little darker than the previous ones, but they do a good job keeping you on the edge of your seat. It was hard to watch just one episode.

Jumped the Shark submitted by SurfGrape on June 21, 2017, 12:45pm I'm sorry to say that this once-excellent show has jumped the shark. This season, we have characters doing things for no apparent reason. The plots that were so clever in earlier seasons don't make any sense now. And once-sparkling dialog has gone flat on the page.

I still enjoy the previous seasons, but I'm done with this series.

Not like previous seasons submitted by gxtan on August 9, 2018, 10:33am Season 4 is a departure from the straight mystery solving of the first 2 seasons, and even season 3, which had a wider story arc. It's still exciting to watch, but the storylines are becoming rather entangled and are starting to border on the slightly ridiculous. The season wraps up some things and reveals some others, so I'd still recommend watching it, but it does have a different feel from previous seasons.

watched it again submitted by DBogie on July 22, 2023, 12:18am I found it fascinating to watch after having seen it a few years ago. It felt more emotional than previous seasons, because of the endings of certain characters and the history of Sherlocks family.
