Brief blackface scene submitted by willow on August 1, 2015, 10:10am Features a brief scene of a white family performing a dance number together, all in blackface.

Did not age well submitted by timdufresne on August 2, 2018, 4:59pm Yeah... this is a pretty classic movie that shows its age... a lot.

Great story submitted by gem on July 27, 2019, 8:28am Great story, good acting. I liked to follow what was happening to the big-shot (in little britches at the beginning of movie and quite a bit older at the end) and how his brashness and big mouth both served to move him forward and also dash his hopes and the hopes and opportunities of those around him.
There is a period depiction that might be disturbing to some, but it was a part of the entertainment scene of the time, so take it for the historical representation that it is. The movie was wonderfully patriotic.

I loved what the star did for his father!!!!!!!
