Classic Christmas Crooning submitted by Meginator on July 3, 2020, 3:51pm Christmas crooning doesn’t come any more classic than this, with Bing Crosby’s deep vocals delivering classic lyrics over simple (yet full) instrumental arrangements. Some of these recordings are now canonical, and each perfectly fits into the 50s-60s mold that still largely defines the sound of the season. Surprisingly, most of these tracks are playful odes to the season, with a few traditional carols mixed in for good measure. This album represents the pinnacle of traditional mid-century Christmas music and will fully satisfy those looking for a sentimental, familiar musical accompaniment to the holiday.
