Miss Peregrine's Home submitted by SBNB on June 17, 2017, 9:49am It's both light and dark, strange but not crazy. This movie was entertaining enough to catch and keep my attention. Not bad overall.

Okay submitted by DL on June 22, 2017, 12:48pm Some real interesting children and some scary creatures in this time warp movie.

Adaptation with a Twist submitted by Meginator on July 15, 2017, 9:45am This movie uses the general framework of the original book as a guideline, but throws in a lot of twists, such as the swapping of two characters' powers and a completely different ending. Some of these twists worked well, and many give the film a distinctly Tim Burton vibe, but I think others hampered the story even when you consider the film apart fom the book. I felt that the pacing was off and had enough trouble with a lot of the changes that I couldn't really get invested in the film.

MISS PEREGRINE'S is a fun film submitted by tdsiterlet on July 17, 2017, 12:08pm I very much enjoyed MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. The children are quite endearing (even Enoch by film's end). Samuel L Jackson turns in yet another stellar performance. Asa Butterfield is very good, as he was in HUGO (If you haven't seen it yet: check it out NOW !!!! AADL has several copies.). This is a home I would gladly have in my neighbourhood !!!!

Peculiar fun submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 1:33am This was engaging and lovable in a way completely different than the book ones, yet still true to the characters.
