the fourth Beatles album submitted by tisaallen on June 15, 2022, 10:47am This album continues in the vein of the early Beatles albums without really offering anything new. It's a bit inconsistent but has its moments.

Underrecognized and Therefore Underrated submitted by Meginator on June 11, 2023, 6:20pm While this album is a bit more uneven than the Beatles’ other early offerings, with only “Eight Days a Week” still among their best-known and most popular songs today, it’s still a great pop-rock album with a few underrated gems. “I’ll Follow the Sun” is, in my opinion, right up there among the best songs that Paul McCartney has ever written, and the album has a great mix of ballads, standard pop hits, and old-time rock and roll covers that really showcases the band’s versatility and offers a bit of a preview of their upcoming shift into more experimental, expansive songwriting. The most memorable tracks here, which incidentally include a cover (“Rock and Roll Music”) along with some original compositions, withstand the test of time and overall the album fits right in with the band’s slowly morphing sound.
