In Discreet submitted by amy on August 29, 2019, 8:06pm Originally conceived for a mid-1970s Robert Fripp tour to be played in the background in a series of concerts, "Discreet Music" has taken on a life of its own as one of the seminal minimalist compositions of the 20th century. At work, at rest, or at play, Eno's homage to Erik Satie's "Furniture Music" is a hypnotic entry in the annals of 20th-century ambient sound.
