Pleasant Surprise submitted by Meginator on July 3, 2011, 9:00am Even though I've been a Mandy Moore fan since the late 1990s, I was really surprised by this album. I hadn't listened to much of her new music, and it always amazes me how truly good artists will grow and mature as time goes on. Though Moore is true to her poppy roots on this album, it has a much mellower vibe, and her vocals and overall musicality shine through in catchy, unapologetic songs. No typecasting here: "Amanda Leigh" is a great album.

amazing singing voice submitted by jennifer-ricks on August 10, 2012, 4:33pm Mandy Moore's singing voice is amazing. She has also stayed true to who she is and not gone totally crazy with her music.

However, I was not as moved with these songs as with her earlier work. Maybe I just didn't understand them.
