This is a wonderful collection of stories... and i am NOT a short story fan as a rule!
Unifying the collection are two story arcs, each defined by their own narrative, that satisfied the novel reader in me.
And, as I live near the Literati bookstore with its typewriter key signs and ever present guest comments on the house typewrite, waiting for Hanks' theme of typewriters to appear in each story was very enjoyable.
His word choice is beautiful, the variety of stories and detail just right.
Very glad I read this book.
