The Video submitted by tree64 on December 26, 2009, 1:55pm I think it was an ok video. Its about a girl who wants rights to her own body and doesn't want to donate her kidney to her dying sister. Some parts are inappropriate and there is not much excitement. It is sort of touching.

So-so submitted by egowell on January 6, 2010, 7:46am Be aware that this movie does not follow the storyline in the book, and is a real downer. The acting is good and the story is interesting, but definitely not a "feel good" movie.

Horrible submitted by pbapat on July 15, 2012, 2:20pm This is a horrible movie and doesn't follow the book's storyline at all. Extremely disappointing. Not recommended. Read the book instead

msk submitted by a2sue on July 25, 2013, 10:15pm abigail breslin always shines

Still emotional but not the same as the book submitted by leah karr on August 11, 2022, 10:28pm This book was amazing, the movie....was okay. Likely would have liked it much more without reading the book. The changed ending threw me for a loop. All about body autonomy, teenage relationships with siblings and parents, parenting a child with severe medical illness.

okay acting, but not the same as the book. submitted by czadams on July 13, 2023, 12:09am The book was much better. I do like the actresses in this movie so it was okay. The movie messed up the ending though!! That is all I am going to say.
