Not my favorite by the director submitted by jibkidder on June 28, 2022, 10:40pm This film may have aimed to capture qualities of John Carpenter, or any Stephen King adaptation, perhaps it even had in mind Stranger Things's seeming favorite - Firestarter - Nichols often seems very indebted to past directors, or seems to blend overt influences, but this one seems most closely a descendent of Steven Spielberg, and as such, it bores me.
