Masterpiece submitted by jibkidder on June 27, 2022, 7:47am Araki is a great and singular director, but something really interesting happens when he tackles a book like this. The narrative really reins him in and the results are great. The Harold Budd soundtrack just helps so much. An absolutely compelling and unsettling look into the life of a young male prostitute with a killer cast. Highly recommended if you are either drawn to, or can tolerate, the disturbing.
