good submitted by philiptv on June 17, 2013, 1:30pm I likes this a lot. It has great humor

Wonderful submitted by crazypockets on July 15, 2013, 3:42pm This movie is a great story all about what the meaning of family is and how important it is to relate to other people, even people you might not have thought you'd get along with. There are some real laugh out loud moments and some real heartbreaking moments.

Decent submitted by goblue on August 7, 2013, 8:19pm Nice story with some humor.

About A Boy submitted by SBNB on July 30, 2015, 9:45pm Great movie. Funny, a bit sad, good story.

love it submitted by ginarae3 on August 25, 2017, 7:34pm I laughed, I cried, and I loved the soundtrack. Hugh Grant at his finest.

All About Me is Hard to Change submitted by gem on June 22, 2019, 2:53pm About a Boy is a movie that faces some hard topics like depression, bullying, single parenting, peer acceptance, seeing more than yourself and faces them head-on, but not in an oppressive, boring, or preachy way. The themes are woven through the movie and things are dealt with as they come up in the situation. There is quite a bit of humor woven in this movie. There is swearing. Although the movie deals with an adolescent's problems, there is definitely a lot of "adult" conversation and topics. Not really appropriate for kids because of the non-adolescent conversations.

Major themes: selfishness, internal pain, bullying, relationships, learning the joy of connection

This is on my top ten list submitted by wendylv on August 21, 2019, 1:41pm Rackish Hugh Grant, lovely Rachel Wiesz, kooky and compelling Toni Collette, and future x-man and movie star Nicholas Hoult as a dorky, awkward pre-teen are just a few reasons to watch this witty and wise movie about human connections and the communities we build to support and protect ourselves in a tough world. Highly enjoyable.

Enjoyable submitted by manz on August 27, 2020, 12:11pm I really enjoyed this one!
