Rejected by the Confederate army and taken for a coward by his beloved Annabelle Lee (Marion Mack), young Johnny Gray (Keaton) is given a chance to redeem himself when Yankee spies steal his cherished locomotive. Johnny wages a one-man war against hijackers, an errant cannon and the unpredictable hand of fate while roaring along the iron rails. Lovely submitted by EJZ on June 13, 2022, 7:43pm I was laughing out loud quite a bit during this, I had never seen a Buster Keaton film before but you can bet this won't be my last.

A classic submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 11:52am There's some good suspense and humor in this. The structure is almost exactly split halfway between Johnny chasing the soldiers and the train and the soldiers chasing Johnny and the train.

Weird that the heroes are Confederate soldiers and the villains are Union soldiers.
