Good submitted by DL on June 21, 2017, 2:09pm Class system, secrets and religion are all in this series. Great characters in a beautiful location.

Small town small mindedness and strong willed woman clash submitted by mandevil on February 7, 2019, 9:54am Very interesting. A glimpse of 1950s Australia. Family, loyalty, secrets, betrayal- yep this one has it all...

Great epic drama with wonderful Australian vistas submitted by cindyannoconnor on August 29, 2023, 1:16pm Occurs in the aftermath of WWII and all the prejudices and memories of horror still lingering. Multi-dimensional characters, long story arcs and great acting. If you like serial dramas about family and generational secrets, if you are curious about Australia and the time period after WWII dealing with class hierarchy, anti-Semitism and a family struggling to cope with a changing world of gender, sexuality and acceptance, you will enjoy this drama of a nurse starting again when she returns to Australia after 20 years in Europe. Very binge worthy.
