COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Good Mystery Show submitted by cbrewster on July 2, 2018, 12:47am A mystery based in late 1950s to early 1960s Australia. The main character, Dr. Blake, has returned home after about 30 years away to take over his father's practice and to assist the police with murder investigations. He has problems with alcohol as he is greatly haunted by his time in World War II and the loss of his wife and daughter during the Fall of Singapore. He often finds himself in trouble because he refuses to follow the rules. Though, he only does so because of his passionate pursuit to solve crimes.

enjoyable submitted by yufamily on August 15, 2019, 2:31pm a great doctor/detective with a kind heart

here is a good way to see the stupid episodes, save time, and enjoy them too: submitted by Tassos on May 9, 2021, 11:58am Don't play them at regular speed, but at DOUBLE speed. Use the subtitles, which are still visible when the speed doubles. THe benefit? THe show rolls much faster, is much less boring, and, ABOVE ALL, you get rid of the STUPID MUZAK!!!

it is always disgusting to see second-rate actors and actrESSES cry in front of the camera at the slightest opportunity. ANd while this has its place in stupid soap operas, it is 100% OUT of place in a thriller or a police mystery like these are supposed to be. If you don't see them in mute and in double speed, with subtitles, you will be exposed to this pornography that is quite unbearable and in terrible taste.

PS Yufamily: He is not a doctor, let alone a great one. he just PLAYS one on TV.

PS2 brewster: Your paragraph is NOT a "Review", but some summary of what the show is about. We can all read that (or a much better one) in Wikipedia. A REVIEW is supposed to be your OPINION of the show, not its summary.
