Indie Alt-Rock submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2019, 10:54pm The Thermals mix indie rock and alt-rock to good effect on this album, giving it a consistent driving energy throughout. None of the tracks really stands out against the background, yet the music never seems one-note or repetitive; the album really feels like a cohesive whole. I liked this approach a lot, as the songs feel more inventive than most alt-rock but without the pretense that gets in so many indie bands' way. The Thermals hit the sweet spot here.
