Great submitted by DoodleBob on June 15, 2014, 4:27pm The movie that I like, is even better in blue ray with the movie extra clear and sound the sounds good.

The Desolation of Smaug submitted by steve72tr on June 22, 2014, 7:51am Well worth the time spent watching this film.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug submitted by SBNB on June 24, 2014, 7:42pm Um… yeah. I think it’s a bit ridiculous that such a short book was stretched into three movies. That was obviously a ploy to make more money. But whether we like it or not, that’s how it is. So you’d think with three movies to cover a 200 page book, they would really be able to include all of the details without having to skip over any significant or memorable events. Nope, not the case. Plot details were left out and extra stuff was added in.

If we forget that it is based on a book, I suppose the movie by itself is passable. But I was still a little upset that I spent $1.60 to rent it.

Good submitted by anacoluthon on August 21, 2018, 7:40pm I do think three movies was asking a bit much from The Hobbit, but nevertheless I ended up really enjoying this new trilogy.

Great Adventure submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 7:34pm The Hobbit is more endearing than the Lord of the Rings films. The characters are a bit more animated. That said, it does hold true to similar cinematography of Lord of the Rings.
