Witty, a Little Weird but Worth Watching submitted by mynning on February 17, 2011, 2:00pm I was concerned about whether or not this movie would work because - despite the fact that I am a staunch Sandra Bullock fan - I was concerned about the believability of a romance between Ryan Reynolds and Bullock due to the age difference between the two. Happily, I was wrong. Not only did she give a marvelous performance as the wicked witch of the business world, but the sparks flew as she and Ryan were thrown together in extremely difficult circumstances furthermore the dialogue was fast-paced, clever, and engaged the audience. AND you really accepted the fact that she was undergoing a personal transformation; perhaps it will turn out not to be a total transformation, but it will definitely be a warming up, a softening, and for that the audience is happy.

Oh, and Betty White, as the grandmother is a radiant, brilliant hoot!

Bullock and Reynolds make a great comedic couple, and Betty White does not disappoint. It didn't change my life, but there are a couple scenes worth watching when it plays on TV.
