A movie I watch over and over submitted by ccrose on July 14, 2019, 11:15pm Having such a strong attachment to this movie is unusual for me. There is terrible cruelty and point blank violence. But there is something about the characters, all of them thieves, and how they react to a robbery gone wrong, an undercover police detective among them, and one character, Harvey Keitel, who breaches the required anonymity among the band of thieves that makes for a Shakespearean struggle. Most of the movie takes place in an almost empty warehouse which sure looks like a stage before it’s all over. And, like a Shakespeare ending, there’s a tragic meltdown.
