Always a great story submitted by sandigra on June 17, 2017, 11:27am Enjoy very much Charles Todd's books. (Actually a son and mother team writing under the name Charles Todd.) Inspector Ian Rutledge, a detective from Scotland yard solves mysteries, even though he is haunted by his war experiences and a solider he had to have shot for refusing an order.

The author also writes books based on a British nurse, Bess, which are mysteries and very good.
