Interesting story submitted by willow on August 16, 2015, 6:26am While the special effects are very primitive, it is amazing to see how the Invisible Man was made "invisible" in those days. The idea of the film (in the form of a scientific experiment gone horribly wrong) is quite interesting and thought provoking, and I found myself quite glad I had watched it.

Invisible man submitted by tshish on July 7, 2016, 11:15pm Great classic Sci-Fi movie. My 11 year olds loved this.

Outstanding Special Effects submitted by Meginator on June 26, 2023, 9:56pm Despite its age, this film holds up incredibly well with its fast-moving plot and its incredible visual effects (which are, to my mind, more convincing than much modern CGI). The plot sticks closely to the original novella, gradually increasing the stakes as the story escalates from a simple tale of one man’s incredible scientific discovery to a cautionary tale about the corrupting influence of power. The acting is excellent, particularly from the invisible man himself, and the film takes itself just seriously enough to avoid falling into an overly moralizing tone without being so grim as to become silly; the tone is pitch-perfect and well-balanced throughout. Relatively straightforward but with plenty of action and dramatic tension, this is a classic that impressively withstands the test of time.
