A Classic of It's Time submitted by KidBlue on September 20, 2021, 11:07am 42nd Street is a classic of it's time. It's "pre-code," so it's racier than it would have been a few years later. It's remarkable in that each female character is a distinct character, not just eye candy, although there is plenty of that. This is also an early example of Busby Berkely's elaborate choreographry. The dialogue is crisp and witty, making for an entertaining movie.
