Pretty good submitted by Pareenaz9 on June 28, 2011, 11:15am It was a pretty good movie and made me not want to go swimming for a while!

Sweet! submitted by TripleH123 on June 30, 2011, 1:45am This was a sweet movie that made me scream a whole lot. I'm not gonna swim in the ocean at the beach for now on!

good movie submitted by AngelaF on August 6, 2011, 5:20pm Dont swim in the ocean!

AwEsOmE!!! submitted by cupcake612903 on August 31, 2014, 8:38pm I watched it with my best friend a only screamed once, it is really not that scary I would recommend it for 10+. But otherwise it was a great movie!

a thriller submitted by sumsaylor on July 15, 2015, 8:54pm Jaws is a movie that will never be considered outdated, it's still as thrilling today as when it was first released. The story behind the making of the movie is fascinating also.

Always relevant submitted by kelleyc on July 5, 2016, 8:48am Fear the sharks! Fear the water! Just kidding - shark attacks aren't the biggest problem in the ocean. But this movie sure will make you hesitant to go near the water for a while! It is timeless, because of the fears it taps into.

Awesome classic submitted by ishhewitt on July 10, 2016, 1:40pm I say it's awesome, and it is, but it's so inaccurate! So you've got to accept that before you watch it, then you'll have a good time.

Thumbs up submitted by hollieesper121573 on August 29, 2016, 9:48pm Amazing how much graphics can change a movie, from the 70s to now WOW

Sharks! submitted by Adam Graham on August 10, 2018, 9:43pm A classic!! One of my favorite Speilberg movies - sure the effects aren't as good as the movies today, but it is still one of the best shark movies out there.

Classic submitted by majean on August 19, 2018, 1:41pm This was the favorite movie of one of my shark-loving friends growing up, so I watched it with her. I actually enjoyed it, and it's not my typical film choice. Really sad that this resulted in the needless deaths of so many innocent sharks, but the film itself is pretty quotable and a real adventure.

Good submitted by TLW1998 on August 1, 2019, 11:35pm This movie really scared me as a kid

Surprisingly life changing. Stands up over time. submitted by gardenfaerie on August 11, 2019, 2:17pm This year I've decided to watch a lot of popular or classic movies I've never seen, which is how I cam to JAWS. I was too young to be interested when it first came out and such a fuss was made of it over the years, I didn't really think I'd like it.

I did. Very much.

It holds up surprisingly well and feels current. I don't care what anyone may say about crappy special effects. It was convincing. And a lot of the fear comes from suspense. It was well acted, and funny in parts, and a commentary on human nature, not just a shark hunt.

Two thumbs up!

Classic Spielberg submitted by crp on August 23, 2019, 12:24am Wonderfully shot; timeless

Despite its silliness and preposterous assumptions, I have enjoyed watching the first "Jaws" many times. submitted by Tassos on September 28, 2019, 6:31pm And even the sequels, a couple times each.

This is not a serious movie, or a documentary. It's just a fun flick to watch, even 45 years later.

The first time I saw it as a college midnight movie, and the next day we went swimming in the coasts of MA north of Boston, and because of the murky water it felt a bit uneasy.

However, every year since 1989 I swim twice daily, 1-3 months every year, every day I am at the summer home, and Spielberg's mythology does not bother me at all. It is much more important that, thankfully, we have not had jellyfish there since 1994, and the water is crystal clear and a joy to swim in.

Theme music submitted by sara on August 17, 2020, 9:27am The theme music is still an ear worm after all these years!

A classic submitted by mtebo on June 26, 2022, 5:39pm Still holds up today! A classic that I never get tired of watching.

Excellent submitted by KidBlue on August 8, 2022, 8:04pm I always avoided this movie, thinking it would be lame. A friend of mine told me it was his favorite movie and I should see it. I did, and it was great! It’s not just about a shark hunt, it’s also a study in how different men experience and deal with fear. Much more intelligent and artistic than I expected. Five stars.

Countless Viewings submitted by APluss on July 5, 2023, 3:47am I have no idea how many times I've watched this movie. Only Indiana Jones ranks higher for me in Spielberg's filmography. This movie hits every note right on the money. The acting, the writing, the structure, the jump scares, the famous music... it's all so good!
