COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Wonderful submitted by Smiles on June 27, 2013, 9:50pm I really enjoyed this movie even though it was for little kids and have watched it several times! It truly is great and I love the energy Pocahontas seems to have. There was a lot of action in the movie and I would recommend it for people of all ages!

Memorable music submitted by bchapman630 on July 15, 2013, 12:17pm This isn't my favorite Disney movie but I did enjoy it enough and did love the song Colors of the Wind and the imagery.

Amazing submitted by cowmooflage on August 1, 2014, 11:14am so beautiful

Love submitted by Drake Emmitt on August 19, 2014, 8:25am Love this movie.

Awesome submitted by steveiew on August 19, 2015, 9:58am Great music, interesting plot, and all together fun.

Good music submitted by Xris on June 26, 2018, 11:56am I like this movie for the music, and a better portrayal of native people than I'd seen before.

Historically inaccurate, but good submitted by cbrewster on July 5, 2018, 8:34pm I loved Pocahontas as girl. The music was amazing and it had a very strong female as its lead. For the most part I enjoyed the portrayal of the Native Americans - strong, wise, and defenders of the earth. However, the story is largely made up and just loosely based on Pocahontas. She was only 10 or 11 when she met John Smith and he was 27 so they never had a romantic relationship. She did marry Kokoum, but later married a man named John Rolfe and moved to England. Disney tried to make a second movie that corrected some of these inaccuracies, but it went straight to video.

Love! submitted by kbahleda on July 23, 2018, 8:40am Great animation and songs and just <3

Love it submitted by jw on August 11, 2018, 2:00pm I love it. Great animation too

Nice Artwork; Woefully Inaccurate submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 9:21am This was definitely good artwork, but the storyline is preposterous. They turned Pocahontas into some starry-eyed, who is meant to merely be a bride. The real Pocahontas was a strong individual and a leader. The Disney liberties taken here are more or less disgusting.

Ok submitted by TLW1998 on July 28, 2019, 5:49pm Not my favorite Disney movie

Pocahontas submitted by crp on August 29, 2019, 9:45pm A nice movie even if not accurate

I loved this one! submitted by Abbie D. on July 9, 2022, 12:31pm Is it accurate to history? Thank heavens no, it's Disney! Is the song "Savages" politically correct? Nope. However! It's a sweet story with a strong female lead and I think it's still great for all ages. Maybe just talk to your kid about the song and let them learn the true story of Pocahontas later in life.
