Getting Onboard submitted by whoisdonald on August 6, 2013, 9:04am Attempting to tackle such an epic, complex novel is no small feat for a film and this motion picture delivered a fairly well accomplished (and certainly an exquisitely polished) adaptation. Great casting, costumes, cinematography carry us through the key plot points and central characters. The resulting film plays primarily as a tragic period piece love story, necessarily glossing over many of the socio-economic-political aspects of Tolstoy's masterful critique of Russian society.

Good submitted by leenajong on July 30, 2015, 7:23pm good movie.

Ok submitted by TLW1998 on July 28, 2019, 11:00pm But I wouldn’t watch it again

Anna Karenina 2012 blu-ray submitted by a2sue on August 31, 2019, 12:53am Why do filmmakers insist upon doing remakes of films so often? The Anna Karenina 2012 Blu-Ray wasn't bad, but I'd prefer to see a film about something fresh for a decent change of pace.
