COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Raucous, energetic, raw. submitted by EJZ on August 3, 2018, 8:31pm The songs on this first album are certainly not as polished as those Jack and White went on to produce a few years later on White Blood Cells and Elephant. What they lack in precision, they make up for in energy. You can almost feel Jack pouring out sweat and tears on I Fought Piranhas, almost smell the spilled beer on the stage at the Magic Stick in "The Big 3 Killed my baby." This was from the era when The White Stripes was all guts and energy, and it works.
