Funny! submitted by yugure on May 7, 2013, 10:53am I would much rather watch this as a TV show than Glee! Despite some unevenness in the flow of the plot (including some story threads that seemed to be dropped randomly), I very much enjoyed this movie. It did feel a little bit like they had too much material to work with and had to jam it into the limited time frame of the movie, so some of it feels rush. But the premise is fun and the singing and dancing is great, and I can forgive them for the rest of it.

The actors' deliveries are spot-on for the tone; it walks a fine line between really fun cheese and taking the glee club phenomenon to its illogical extreme. I didn't think I would love it, but I did. I could appreciate this on multiple levels: the homage to John Hughes and other iconic teenage/young adult character movies, the simple plot, the raunchy humor, the goofiness, the parody, and the real work and love that obviously went into this. Rebel Wilson is the show-stealer, but I love Brittany Snow and her character a lot as well.

I wish a lot of the other characters hadn't been so relegated to the background, especially Cynthia Rose, because I wanted a lot more of her story and incredible skills on display!

She is not happy about going to collage but then she finds this group and they become her family. this is a good movie for 10-12+.
